The class immediately after a grading is always a little bit more relaxed than usual. Yesterday was no exception. So when Sensei asks, “What do you want to do then?” “SUMO!!!!”, I shout. Shy kids get no sweets, and all that. And hey, if you know you might have a fair chance of winning something and you are as competitive as me, then it was a no-brainer. I was playing to my strength.
